Dr Bishop Aloysius Kiiza was on the 3rd of June 2025 bestowed with the award of Honorary Doctor of Ministry by the Global Bishops, Apostles & Ministers Academy an Institute affiliated to Christ RestorationTheological Seminary, Maryland USA and Louisiana Baptist University.
In the early 1990’s Aloysius Kiiza was leading the intercessory ministry of Kampala Pentecostal Church then, (now Watoto) a youthful, vibrant and at the time, the largest urban ministry in Kampala, Uganda.
Then God sent him to Kabale – a small town in south western Uganda. At his work place because of the energy and skill he brought to the job, they decided that he would be the right person to send to reinvigorate the Kabale branch of the company, HotLoaf.
It was a testing time for a young family man who was upwardly mobile, making investment decisions, looking to buy a piece of land to build a home and then suddenly God shows you a different direction to take.
Upon arrival in Kabale in his own words, he felt that “the heavens were closed and prayers hit the skies and bounced back”. It was a stark contrast to the successful ministry he led back at KPC.
Everything agreed with his analysis, deep poverty, ignorance and backwardness laid hold of the land, the practise of christianity was nominal at best and on the other end of the spectrum people were bound in witchcraft.
Once he made peace with Gods decision to move to Kabale and later to leave a successful job position in the company whose fortunes he had turned around to success he embarked on full time ministry, fulfilling the mission God sent him on with single mindedness of purpose – igniting and spreading revival, re – digging the wells of revival as it were to a land that had served as the epi – center for the Great East African Revival!
For those who know him and have witnessed his labor in the Lord, they can attest that the latest award is truly well deserved and fitting.
